APPENDIX A

The WebJammer ActiveX Control

The WebJammer ActiveX control allows musicians to jam over networks. The closer you are, the better it will run! Any Windows 95 machine with an Internet connection and an attached MIDI synthesiser is capable of running the control, but some items may need to be set up. Also, ‘ActiveX’ means that you will need Internet Explorer 3.0 (or higher) to use the control. Alternatively, you should be able to use Netscape Navigator with the NCompass plug-in, but this has not been tested.

If things still don't work, you may need to install the Microsoft Foundation Classes libraries using mfc42.cab (~580KB).

I haven't digitally signed the WebJammer control (since I couldn't get it to work using Microsoft's licensing technologies) but for what it's worth, you can have my personal guarantee that it doesn't contain any viruses, etc.
